A nice write up about my residency at Center for Book and Paper and current work

As I knit and crochet my life away right now, I remind myself with each stitch and bend of wire what is happening. It is how this visual idea came to be.

Evolution may (or may not) be out of our hands, but as individuals we can accept and celebrate our technological skills at the same time that we seek the gifts of nature essential for the realization of our full intellectual and spiritual potential.

Richard Louv, The Nature Principle

I now reflect on my research by bringing greener space inside through installation.

Lots of knitting and crochet in progress. Tons more to come…

Here are a few views from my papermaking residency at Columbia College Chicago Center for Book and Paper Arts. I spent a week creating elements for Hybrid, a installation to open this fall at Center for Green Technology (in Chicago.)

This summer has been consumed with a paper residency at Columbia College Chicago Center for Book and Paper Art and lots of time in my studio for an upcoming installation, Hybrid. The work will be composed of knitting, crochet, handmade paper, and wire. I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with the city of Chicago to install this piece at the Center for Green Technology, coming this October. Be sure to keep posted for the opening date a few lectures that I will be offering this fall. Here is a drawing of what will come.
